But the number one thing that honestly makes me question A-Net's motives is the new update where every skill trainer in the game has all skills available. Yeah, skill points are still a factor, but doesn't that completely take the whole idea of gradual progressing out of the game? I mean there's no surprises for new players, they have access to every skill right when they hit Post-Searing Ascalon. So that has me rather annoyed, I suppose. No clue how this will relate to the PvE in Factions, but this whole thing about all skill trainers having all skills better not show up there.

You do realise that it is only skills you have unloacked right? This is also not really enw, if you want to complain go back to BWE when ascalon skill trainer had late game skills... in ascalon. I don't see how you can have lost any faith in GW when this is the first major problem since... well release. Try wow for fun downtime every 24 hours.

You have nothing better to do than be an ass to people? You seem to forget that quite afew GW players are quite young, and don't know the difference in time zones. Most likely because they haven't been subjected to them.
For whoever asked Mountain time is +1 hour ahead of Pacific time so you're looking at 9:30 pm. Anyone else wanting to know Central is +2 hours ahead of Pacific and Eastern (you guessed it) +3.

Whoops, sorry...looks like our guild was misinformed.
I guess that was a result of most of us having several finished characters, and already having all of our skills unlocked. So it looked like the trainers were all like the one in Ember Light Camp. Again sorry, thanks for clearing that up.

Really, no offense, but does ANYBODY read? Everyone bitches about the whole skill trader thing because they've gotten to Ember Light Camp and I kind of was to when a Guildie told me about it. But when I read the update, it CLEARLY says that the skill trader only has SKILLS THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY UNLOCKED.
*bit off-topic sorry, but it annoys me because I see this CONSTANTLY!
EDIT: Theos beat me to it, nice job.

Actually it IS a big deal, a "ruined economy" would make the game no longer enjoyable. it simulates as close as possible (one reason due to how people are in real life) to real life economy. In say 5 months time during which you were enjoying the game you collect about 20 ectos (just as an example) and you know you have some security knowing that they are currently worth 7k ea (140,000gold) and suddenly was worth 250 if that, you would be pissed as well.
Getting a grip is not really a comment that is called for here, but knowing that Anet is forced to resort to a rollback, will save the (real life simulated economy) leaves hope for us who get excited when a glob of ecto has their name on it on the floor.

Haven't other MMOs had things like this happen? I'm not at all shocked, nor am I upset by what Arena Net is doing. If people did not exploit the obvious glitch, we wouldn't be sitting here waiting to log back on.
Those of you who actually did something else... well, blame the idiots who went crazy at the traders, it's their fault. For people who are angered, remember how far that monthly payment of yours is going... oh, that's right, you don't have to pay one.
Honestly, with all the code that goes into this game, I can expect a few bugs. Most things I code have bugs, and I haven't coded anything to the massive scale that they have put into Guild Wars.
To those of you who are selling your accounts because of this problem... well, during this time I'm not doing much else, so I'll be happy to get your auctions shut down.
Like I tell a beaten IWAY group, go ahead and /ragequit.

A quick recap of everythin for ppl that just came in to post.
1.) Server rollback will occur. Everything ingame will remain the same from the point of 1pm PST (west coast US), 9pm GMT (U.K time) and bfore that. So basically everything you have done after those time above will basically be undone, include trades, missions or anything at all.
2.) As noted on the login screen, game will be accessible *POSSIBLY/ESTIMATED* at PST 8:30pm (US West coast time), 4:30am GMT (U.K Time). So those ppl whose still wondering when they can login, read this.
So guys, just be patient and let ANET handle this. Everyone probably tried to cash in on it, i did, but i aint complaining anyways.
I'm just wondering whether that Yakslapper and Garbok's Chalice i sold for 5k together would remain in my inventory, if it is, i'm pissed, took me ages to get rid of it LOL.
ps : not intended to be rude or anything, just a quick reminder

I know several young players. I have several nephews playing this game and if one of them was lazy enough to ask that question I would have responded the same way.
It is too easy for people to ask someone to solve a problem for them. A little research would have solved his problem, but no... might as well let someone else just tell them.

Checking her position at www.arena.net, it says:
Gaile Gray, Community Relations Manager, is a writer whose recent projects include the Diabloii.net and WarCraftiii.net websites, as well as producing content for several other websites, freelance publishing clients and game companies. In addition to writing for ArenaNet, Gaile coordinates our Alpha and Beta Tests and manages our websites, forums, and fan communications.
What I wonder more though is why some people seem to blame Gaile. Someone earlier in this thread said "Good going Gaile..." and more people complain directly at her. Does Community Relations Manager sound like Server Crasher to you?

Again sorry. I took several friends' word for what the update involved, not checking into it myself, thinking they had it right obviously. My apologies. (referring to Stickyball's borderline flame)

In the end. The final word is the fact that if they had let this happen a second time. the economy would be destroyed. The first price reset made a very limited ammount of people rich because of the small(in comparison) numbers of people playing compared to today. In all it did not have that huge of an impact then.
If people were to be allowed to keep the items they had purchased today. then EVERYONE would be rolling around in fissure armor. and that would kill the game.
Hearing all the people complain about this price reset makes me smile. For one they are all lazy and have no clue what it could to to the game (For example ruin it). And they expect to get rich quick and get the best stuff. when people spent over a million dollars to get the fissure they wanted. I myself have saved 84 ecto and 44 shards. and if they had allowed the price reset. i would have stopped playing alltogether.
so in the end. It was not christmas they took away from you people crying out there. They saved your ass from the end of the world.
And i would personnally like to thank a-net for saving this great game

Asking people questions is a form of research. If nobody asked questions then where would we be? The fact that they bother to ask shows that they aren't being lazy.
